Hi Whizzes!
If you're here at all, it's probably because you are:
🌟 a Language Learner who has tried to learn a language through various means—classes, apps, institutes, tutors—most likely for years, to (if we’re honest here) no avail, and wishes (desperately) to at least once in their life do something (ANYTHING!) that will actually get them to acquire a language short of moving to that country (hassle) or marrying someone from there (please don’t), and is also a wee bit curious (not to mention furious) about how language acquisition happens, and how come all those other thingies didn’t work. Phew! You can breathe now.
🌟 a World Language Educator (WLE) who wants to upgrade their practice with better materials, practices, supports, and a deeper knowledge of the research behind language acquisition. Slay.
🌟 a Parent determined to raise a multilingual child, who needs materials, practices, supports, and wants to know how it all happens (language acquisition, that is, not the birds and the bees…you have kids…you should know how that bit happens already!)
If you’re one of the above, or something quite similar, here’s why, without a shadow (or body part) of a doubt, you should stick it out with Input Wand:
🔥 I founded Input Wand because I’ve been in your shoes, never want to be in them again, and don’t want any human on the planet to be in them either. To elaborate:
💥 I’ve been a disappointed world language learner for over two decades in eight different languages at some of the world’s most prestigious institutions. I thought there was something wrong with me. Now I know better, and it’s my mission that Input Wand be both a company that creates top-notch, research-based materials for those who want to learn through story, and also that it inform humans on how language acquisition happens, so they can evaluate the next class, app, institute or tutor they hire and never waste one more dollar, minute or brain cell on an intentional or unintentional language scam.
🔥 I am you. You are me. I’ve traversed the rocky road from a WLE who didn’t know what she was doing, had panic attacks on the daily, and based her practices on a confusing, vague mixture of what a textbook might suggest and what I thought would be “fun”, to chairing the World Language Department at a middle school in Times Square and successfully transforming said department from a textbook, grammar-translation, drills and tests type of program to a 100% research-based, proficiency-oriented and input-focused program.

My question is:
❤️🔥 Are you disappointed (re: language acquisition or facilitation)? How so?
