Will Quijote y Yo make me, my children and/or my students fluent?
The short answer is, no.
It took about 14,500 hours of comprehensible input for any human to develop the communicative ability of a 7-year-old. You do the math. Our only promise is that Input Wand materials are the right drop (Comprehensible Linguistic Input) in the right bucket (your brain), and that all the research and people's experiences with the materials show that communicative ability and all the four functions of language: reading, writing, speaking and comprehending, will be enhanced.
Does Antonia's choice of using feminine pronouns when females are in equal number or greater in a group affect acquisition?
No. The conjugations stay the same regardless of the pronouns. For example,
We eat.
Nosotras comemos.
Nosotros comemos.
They eat.
Ellas comen.
Ellos comen.
As with any piece of written material, learners are free to change the pronoun if they would so like—the fundamental acquisition of the language stays the same.
Is the series written in Spain Spanish or Latin American Spanish?
The series is written in Latin American Spanish.
Are all the audio materials narrated by native speakers?
Yes.
Do I have to read the ENTIRE series in order? What if I'm not a total beginner?
No—each level is stand alone. Learners do NOT need to read the Novice Mid Trilogy to understand or enjoy the Novice High one, for example.
Having said that, reading the lower levels can only help and add more input into a learner's brain. Another way to put it is that it is best to err on the lower side than on the higher—when starting at a level that is too complex learners tend to shut down due to an "input flood" that is too overwhelming.
Are Input Wand materials learner-tested?
Yes. They have been successfully tested on middle school, high school and adult learners.

What is Storylabs?
Storylabs delivers custom content to K-12 classrooms. It has built-in journaling, usage tracking for a teacher’s own links and quizzes, and is a student-privacy-certified platform.
Storylabs carries the first three levels of the Quijote y Yo Series. A subscription is $300 per teacher, per school year, per level. The teacher can add as many 180 students into their classroom. On Storylabs, all the materials come with audio and text integrated. There are custom Textivate activities and games for every chapter.
Currently the first level, Novice Low, has Communication Guides (usually called Teacher Guides), with pre-reading, reading and post-reading tasks, and those are all included in Storylabs. The Communication Guides for the next two levels, Novice Mid and Novice High, will be available on Storylabs by the beginning of the 2026-2027 school year.
Are school districts using them?
Yes, for example the San Diego Unified School District, the second largest school district in California, known for its high academic standards, diverse student population, and award-winning magnet programs.
Do you provide a bulk discount?
Yes. On orders over 1000 books, we provide a 10% discount.
Do you accept Purchase Orders?
Yes.
Are parents using them?

What ages are the materials suitable for?
Middle school up to adults of all ages. These populations are already using them.

How can I sample your books to see what level is appropriate for me?
When you click on each product, I include a Chapter 1 sample for each book in the product Images. You may also go to the Input Wand YouTube Channel and sample those same chapters in audio format.
